Reality is like rain...it has to soak in.....

Let him try to broker it for a while and when the buyers walk away the price will come down... The possibility is that Jerry was misquoted.

As of yet we don't know if he has actually talked to anyone who knows true values/ prices. I am sure if they make a deal we'll hear about it.

Speaking of Georgia, I have some Claxton FC to trade--it is last years batch but still fresh.

I still have a bucket of Neuschwanstein.. Some one asked me the classification of my find...it is a CaCa.

I'll trade for some Portales.

no kidding-it's obvious that he has not seen the prices of meteorites on ebay lately. PORTALES -one of the most spectacular recent US falls- can be had for $25/g for a JAM-UP metal piece(and that's kind of high). with my work i have done with ed ablin at fernbamk science center here in atlanta to try and secure at least a gram of every ga meteorite known (under 30) for display there, with comments like that , it is doubtful that we will ever see a piece of it. if any of you dealer types do in fact , snag it, i would appreciate an opprtunity to purchase 2 grams of it - one for myself, and another to donate to fernbank's ga meteorite collection.
please keep me in your consideration for purchase as we still need thompson, millen, STATESBORO, and others.
