I have taken a radical approach to meteorite sales: When I FIRST get items, I have invested capital, so, I offer them to my past customers at a reduction that would give me an instant return of my investment, but at a very minimal profit.
I don't make much - but I didn't have my $ tied up for weeks, months or years, so, that's OK. ( If you haven't purchased from me in the last 2 years, and you don't already receive these posts, you can get on my "prepost sale" list - just email me). Anything that doesn't sell the first week I own it, I then price at a reasonable, but modest mark up to begin with and put them in my catalog: Even then, I price them so low I would loose money if I had a sale. That way my customers don't have to wait, hope, or dork around hoping for a "sale" to get a reasonable price. I don't know, I guess that means EVERYTHING on my site is ALWAYS at "sale" price.
