Same with South Carolina.  We don't have many meteorites, but some of the 
world's best shark teeth
come from the lower parts of the state.  I have some (bought from divers who 
find them on river
bottoms, not found myself) too big to close your hand around (over 5 inches on 
the diagonal)-- and
all of my many sharks teeth put together cost less than he wants for those three
pocket-change-purchace pieces.  At least the "meteorite" kind of LOOKS 
something like a meteorite
fusion crust-- so to me, the shark teeth auction is even more of a joke than 
the Mars meteorite one.

Here's more realistic prices (many of which are from SC, I'm not sure what 
state you are in)
