You didn't say that the far side of the moon isn't dark.  You said that there 
is no dark side of the
moon.  And there is ALWAYS a dark side of the moon, just like there is ALWAYS a 
dark side of the
Earth.  It is the side that happens to be facing away from the Sun at any given 
moment.
