I've just make an experiment.
I attack a magnet to the NWA and after to the few H and L slice that I have in collection. I pull the two slice and the magnet remain on the NWA, so it means that it has more iron, isn't it?? With the SAU001 there is the most interesting behavior. Somethimes the magnet reamain on the SAU and somethimes on the NWA.
Could we say the metal content are similar?? So the classification too??

Ciao

Hi Moser and All,

Good "catch" Moser! I also love this kind of chondrule conglomerate and especially if it gives a strong attraction to a magnet and
if it is a H OC, I would rather guess for a H3...
As far as magnet attraction is concerned, did you compare to some other H / L chondrites that you have? This could help because
sometimes L OCs can give quite a strong attraction to magnet too...
Anyway the most important fact is that it is simply gorgeous!
Well done!!!
Best wishes,

Hi Folks,
I have just cut my firts meteorite, under the table of moroccan dealer in
Munich there were some ugly nwa for a very cheap price, the perfect material
for cutting and polishing experiment.
I bought a very ugly and weathered speciment for 144g, about 10g is caliche
:-)
All the pictures are about 90Kb:

After the cutting the interior is better than I hoped.

about a 3 or 4.
As you can see there are a lot of condrule.
What could be for you?? H3 H4 or L ?? (remember: it is very magnetic)
I think you will say that this is nothing special but for me is a pretty
chondrule conglomerate :-)

If anyone are interested in a slice for cheap price e-mail me privately.

Ciao and thanks
