Hi Matt, Sorry to post to all, but I think this is a good stimulus for discussion on meteorite prices, especially since there was a deliberate and large cost in the recovery of Lost City.
In a way, I consider this particular meteorite somewhat of a national treasure because it too 10 years of funded work to capture its fall on film, and another couple of weeks to find the stone. Further, the majority of the masses are on display in the US National Museum. So what is it worth per gram? Good question.
