His reference was probably the, ...roll of drums, the Third Edition of the Catalogue of Meteorites (1966), page 449: "Sikhote-Alin, Eastern Siberia... Iron. Granular hexahedrite, or coarsest octahedrite (4.9 mm)...The so-called craters are mostly only impact holes, and the fall appears to be a granular hexahedrite rather than an octahedrite (L. LaPaz, Popular Astronomy, Northfield, Minnesota, 1949, vol. 57, p. 88)."
