Hi All,

Here's a closeup version of the "meteorwrong".

Another closeup: Notice the very angular and cubic crystaline structure on the surface.

Don't know what it is, but it's certainly not a meteorite.

Enjoy...

Thanks for sharing that Dirk.
To my relatively inexperienced eyes, the rock that Mr. X is holding shows no signs of ablation. It also appears to be fairly light in weight, judging from the way he's rotating it around in his hands. I wonder if he owns a magnet? I couldn't find him in the phone book. ;^) It would sure be nice if someone found the real deal *outside* the Dugway Proving Ground.

Subject: [meteorite-list] Tooele, Meteorite found? Dugway increases security

Dear List,
Dugway Proving Grounds has increased security since the Utah meteor.
Fox 13, Salt Lake is reporting that a man has found a "black and polished rock" while "looking for arrowheads".
