Hi all - A few comments - Here on Earth larger fragments survive impact due to explosive lensing - I don't know how that applies to Mercury - Elton is the source for best estimates and explanations on that.
The energies of impacts depend on what hits and how fast. There is also the problem of intact entry through the Earth's atmosphere.
