Hi all,

We are excited to announce the release of Mezzanine RESTful API v0.7
<http://gcushen.github.io/mezzanine-api/>!

This release includes significant improvements of various features as well
as adding compatibility for newer versions of dependencies. We recommend
checking out the release notes
<http://gcushen.github.io/mezzanine-api/release-notes/> for full details,
but here's a summary:

*What's New*

   - Add support for custom user models
   - List child pages at page endpoint
   - Support filtering pages by title
   - Support filtering posts by multiple categories

*Fixes*

   - Add compatibility for Mezzanine 4.3.x
   - Add compatibility for Django v2
   - Add middleware compatibility for Django v1.11+
   - Add compatibility for django-oauth-toolkit version 1.1.2+
   - Add compatibility for django-filter v2+
   - Update test environment to reflect updated dependencies
   - Fix deprecation warnings from Mezzanine and Django

*The API is also part of an ecosystem which includes complementary tools:*

   - Mezzanine API Client SDK
   <http://gcushen.github.io/mezzanine-api/client/> - Kickstart your web
and mobile app development with the SDK and its documentation
   - Mezzanine API Remote CLI <http://gcushen.github.io/mezzanine-api/cli/>
   - Remotely control your CMS from the command line. You can even write and
submit Markdown based blog posts from the command line :)
   - Mezzanine API Docker <https://github.com/gcushen/mezzanine-api-docker>
   - Containerized system to help deploy both Mezzanine and its RESTful API
   into production

Also, we are on the lookout for *contributors and maintainers*, so please
feel free to get in touch and contribute improvements to the API or any of
the tools in the ecosystem. In particular, the Docker container could use
some help as it has not been fully converted to the latest versions of
dependencies.

We hope that as Mezzanine continues to evolve, Mezzanine RESTful API can
keep helping its users ship performant mobile and web apps. You can try it
out right now by following the instruction from the docs
<http://gcushen.github.io/mezzanine-api/#installation>. We can’t wait to
see what you build with it.

Happy hacking!

George
