Andrew, I do not know if this is in Advanced Milling it is in Free Form Machining.
Try: Process Options Thread Mill (hopefully it is listed) I may be mistaken I thought that the only difference between FFM and Adv. Milling are the surface tools. I use to use: Create Curves Helix then lead in or out depending upon what I wanted. I also found it necessary to create a thread milling tool in CTG, one that is a true representation of the cutter whether it is single point or multi tooth. A good source for drawing a thread milling tool can come from: (I have used this company for porting tools for over 20 years.) <A HREF="http://www.threadmills.com">http://www.threadmills.com</A> Tom In a message dated 2/4/00 1:20:06 PM Pacific Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: > Subj: [mfg-smartcam] thread milling > Date: 2/4/00 1:20:06 PM Pacific Standard Time > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Wilson, Andrew) > Sender: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ('SmartCAM users group') > > Anyone have a macro for thread milling in Advanced milling ?? > If not, What are the steps in thread milling?? > > Thanks > > > Andrew Wilson > CNC Programmer/Systems Admin > <A HREF="http://members.aol.com/brewertr/index.html">http://members.aol.com/br ewertr/index.html</A> ====================================================================== To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ======================================================================
