Dave,

It's been awhile, but I think that the lower integer variables, #U0 through
#U9, are global. Even though these are classified as integers, they retain
the decimal value and can be output as such with the #FMT() command. The
numeric value of the variables #C0 through #C5 are global but the string
they output is dependent on the individual SMF file.
The workings of the #SYNCH escapes me at the moment, I believe it only
changes with simultaneous turning. At one time I did extensive work with
Aturn code generators in a quest for Swiss style support. I'll try to find
my notes on the workings of these variables.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Adv. Turning Template Variables

1. I can't seem to get #SYNCH to change status. According to the online
manuals, it's the "Merge block codes state flag." Is this working? Is it
not available for Okuma-type code?

2. Are there variables that are "global" to all template files when coding
in Adv. Turn? If so: what, where, why, when, how?

Oh GreggO, where are you now that I need you?

TIA

Dave
