Fred, I've seen this 255 character limit issue pop up in this group a few times lately and I've didn't think it could be accurate because I use Job Notes pretty extensively and have never had a problem. So just a few minutes ago I opened a JOF file at random and counted 475 characters in the Job Notes section, and it wasn't even a one my wordy ones!
