I have a PCApt program for machining bicycle
chainrings. It will create the complete program, inside and outside, with
chainring holes and decorative cutouts, just by specifying the number of teeth
and the bolt hole diameter.
I used it to create chainrings for a human-powered
vehicle speed record attempt.
The tooth descriptions are straight out of the 1992
Machinery's Handbook.
If anyone can convert the PCApt language to
SmartCam macro code, you are welcome to it.
