The blue screen of death is an unrecoverable fault created by a process
which violates the core processes of Windows. Prevention in some cases is
impossible, in most cases is due to a lack of adequate RAM.
If you have enough RAM, you have an application which is not operating
according to the rules. This can usually be fixed by applying the latest
service pack for your operating system. Fix packs can be downloaded from
www.microsoft.com. For Windows NT, Service Pack 4 is the base line. Other
possibilities are hardware drivers. Again, make sure you have the latest
drivers for you video, sound, network card, etc. Most are available from
the manufacturers web site; or www.driverzone.com. Most new cards I have
installed in PCs are shipped with outdated drivers.
