For a 2-axis line:   Go to Geo Edit, Modify. Select the line to modify.   Do not hit Enter prior to the last step. You can Tab between entry fields, or click on the letter preceeding the field.   Delete the X coordinate of the start or end point by clicking on the X and hitting the Del key.   Repeat for the Y coordinate.   Click on Line Angle and snap the line angle from the line being modified.   Click on Length. Enter the desired line length, if known. If you simply want the line to be .500" longer, then click on Length, snap the current length from the line being modified, hit the End key to move the cursor to the end of the field, enter +.500.   Now hit Enter and Accept.   Practice this a few times before using it on important elements. If you make a mistake, use the Cancel button to get out of Modify. You can start over.
