If it runs in MS-DOS, then more than likely it will run in a DOS window under Win9x. If not, then it may need a full screen DOS session running but that is not a problem for Win9x either. This way you can have your networking, printer sharing, and all the other modern features and still be able to use your DOS programs. Your program might even run under NT4, depending on how well behaved it is when it comes to accessing various computer ports and hardware. I have some DOS programs that run without a problem under NT4 because the author did things right the first time. OTOH, I have some programs that NT refuses to let run because they go out and start making all kinds of illegal system calls and who know what.
My advise to you if you want to keep using it would be to load it on a Win9x box and see what happens. The worst case is that it simply won't run in a DOS window or a DOS session.
