Hi all,
Can some one out there give some insight on the 4th axis positioning thru smartcam v11.5 freeform machining. I am rotating on Y-axis. My questions are,.... How should I approach the rotary axis work plane, and the G54,G55,G56,G57 tool planes? Is there a template file that will work with the rotary axis setup? As of now I am approaching this in a 2D view, drawing to scale the rotation points and part at that point then measuring clearance and profile top positions for each step then applying sequencing with user elements to input the Angles at the proper location in the Smartcam database. I hope there is a more productive way of doing this. I've tried looking for a tutorial on the subject but no such luck. Thanks in advance Russ
