I use the Rhino modeler and just open the R14 dwg files and proceed with modeling/etc and export as either 2D dxf's or standard IGES format. Rhino makes a great translator as Smartcam reads Rhino translated IGS files to perfection. I never saw Smartcam misread a Rhino IGS file. Rhino reads most every format and can export those formats right into Freeform.

The elements are imported but have an unknown X value. Y values, lengh of
lines, angles are all there, but no X and if you try and zoom in to anything
nothing happens. also after importing a DWG file I then exported it back out
as a DWG file and opened it up in Autocad without any problems.Martin Jarvis
