Local (Atlanta area) salesmen for MasterCam and Gibbs both totally blew their demo when we started asking about programming a horizontal with positioning table. The local rep (a "tooling" company) for FeatureCam (formerly bridgport EZ-cam) refused to even demo for us because we buy our tools elsewhere.
So I have a pretty low opinion of all three. We are still quite productive with SmartCam. We make small quantities of lots of custom parts and thus do a lot of programming. Sometimes all the pretty pictures get in the way of getting the work out. > -----Original Message----- > From: Steve Club [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Wednesday, August 01, 2001 9:43 AM > To: Smart Cam user group > Subject: [mfg-smartcam] smartcam replacment > > > We are still trying to replace SmartCam, and my company has > narrowed it down > to these 3 choices. > > MasterCam > Gibbs > Feature Cam > > Does anyone have an opinion on these? > > Thanks, > > Steve > > ====================================================================== > To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, > send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > ====================================================================== > ====================================================================== To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ======================================================================
