I also move jobs from verticals to
horizontals quite frequently.
If the .TMP files are set up
correctly doing this is really a piece
of cake. It's just a matter of
merging in your horizontal setup,
deleting what you don't want, then
moving the parts to the proper
vice, fixture or work plane. When I
say deleting what you don't want
it's because our verticals have 4
vices per table and the horizontals
are setup with 2 on each face, so I
have to delete 2 parts in the move.
I have standard SmartCAM setup
sheets for each machine in the shop
which gives the operators information on how to setup the
job.
