I have been using Pro Manufacture for a couple of years now. I use pro E
2001 version.
For the first few months it seemed very difficult and way to complicated for
my purposes, but now that I am used to it, I would never go back to using
SC. My company produces primarily die cast mold inserts using solid models
from our customers and some in house solid models. Once I learned how to
utilize the parametric capabilities of Pro, I can receive an updated solid
and all my toolpath for electrodes and cavities gets updated automatically.

Don't let anyone who hasn't used Pro Manufacture for at least a year tell
you whether or not it is a good product.

PTC has been updating the machining portion along with the rest of it's
software with every new version they release.

I still keep SC on my machine because I used it to create tons of good
programs that I still need to update now and then. You will not have much
luck attempting to bring SC files via IGES into Pro.

I hope this will help. Feel free to e-mail me personally if you have any
more questions.
