I had a demo on Esprit the other day, it looks promising. Blew me away when they brought in a SolidWorks model and used feature recognition and put tool path on it, picked up all the bosses and pockets and different levels. That would save me tons of time. I like the fact that the posts are open, VB as a macro language, reads native SolidWorks models, can draft inside it for simple parts, dynamical rotate part while running simulations, 4th axis rotates tombstone not tool, native windows code, has message board on the web not email o well. Hmmm I am sure I missed something.
Anyone have any thoughts or comments about Esprit or any other replacement CAM package. It is tough looking for a replacement when you feel very comfortable with what you are currently using, but the time is fast approaching that I will have to make a switch. I need to be able to import solid models and put tool path on them, no question about it. If anyone is lurking and has already switched lets us know what you choose and how it worked out for you.
