Robert, The weight of water is 8.33 lb/gal at 70 deg F. This was calculated from data in the Machinery's Handbook, where water is 63.31 lb/cu.ft. and 1 gal is 0.1337 cu.ft. (63.31 lb/cu.ft.) X (0.1337 cu.ft./gal) = (8.33 lb/gal.)
