Haven't got time to check but from memory, fan_b is for a 'B' axis mc,
m_fansub is set-up for sub-programmes, and the 'm' in m_fansu b and m_fanuc
stands for metric. Don't forget, the SMF file is the minor part of the
code-generator, the TMP file is in most ways the more important part.

Regards,

Bill.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Machine define questions

> I need to define "SMF" files for a couple of recently acquired milling
machines. I have 3 questions I was hoping someone might answer for me.
> 1> SmartCAM comes with several generic Fanuc "SMF" files (fan_b.smf;
FANUC.smf; m_fansub.smf and m_fanuc.smf). What are the differences?

> 2> Referring to question 3 in machine define, what is a "TTS" file, what
does it do, and do I need to have anything in here? The reason I ask is that
I have several mills already and I only have "TTS" files in the lathe
section.

changer. Can I force a message block and an "M00" in place of the tool
change codes (Tword, M06, etc.).
