"Allied" makes a line of inserted spade drills, but they will only get you
to the sfm you're already working at in A36. However, you may see an
increase in productivity because they are available in long dia/length
ratios, and you can run them straight through without pecking, or with the
rapid-peck cycle in difficult applications. The drill bodies have a coolant
collar to induce coolant through the tool. You need to rig up a supply line
at the machine and manually plug the collar into it, though. They make
inserts down to .374 (9.5mm)

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] coolant inducers

Does anybody besides big sheppard make a coolant inducer for cnc's?. Any
experience with this type of coolant? I need to add thru tool coolant for
drilling a36 plate, 3/8" x .281 dia. max. many, many holes and I need about
500 sfm too. I currently drill with ticn coated cobalt at 300 sfm but they
tend to do a melt down on occasion.
