Website Changes / FYI:
Some of you may have seen VisualMill listed on my website. The offering of VisualMill is just an offering to anyone interested. I also am in the process of expanding my website to add availability of Rhino, Flamingo Renderer, and VX Vision products.
I have used VisualMill for three years now and it is a good program, it does lots of things that Smartcam never did. I recently invested in VX Designer with Mold & Die for making tooling that requires more than Smartcam offered. I am certainly NOT abandoning Smartcam, the Smartcam Repository website will always be there and I will always use Smartcam.
I am shifting my really complex mold & die modeling to VX due to it's powerful Solid and Surface modeling capability plus the ability to automatically split parting lines, fold sheet metal, BOM, Parametric CAD, and much more plus create better mold & cavity work automatically.
As I said, Smartcam will always be there but you will start to see some newer products as well. My area is for the SouthEastern US only so this is actually just a regional offering but I will be happy to get anyone connected if I can help anywhere.
As my other offerings on my website, this is a NO PRESSURE announcement. I have recently received several emails asking if Smartcam was going away, NEVER!!!
