Jeremy, You can set up the layers you want to be translated in Cam Connection. Open the program, and under the Edit tab click on Layer Mapping. You can then assign the layers in your cad program you want translated and the layers in Smartcam to which you want that layer to be translated. Our engineering dept use a structured set of layers which I have set up in Smartcam. Don

But I need that stuff in there to check clearance and what not. My question Is, Is there a way to get SmartCam to read part's as different layers by color or is there something in Solidworks I'm not doing right? Am I just stuck with everything being on one layer and having to go in and make my own layer's after importing? On some of these 4th axis jobs with multiple part's and side's it can get very confusing and time consuming. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
