My macro works fine for killing CTFMON.exe but the BAT file does not close
at the completion of the macro, it keeps a MSDOS looking window open. Does
anybody else have this problem? If you have the cure, would you share it?

Dan

Have you done a search of your system for "taskkill.exe"? The default
location on my XP Pro is C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32.

If found, make sure it is in the default path, otherwise you could copy it
into a system folder or include the entire path in the batch file.

i.e.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\taskkill.exe /im ctfmon*
cd c:\sm11\system
c:\sm11\system\ffm.exe

I don't get it, here is my batch file.

taskkill /im ctfmon*
cd c:\sm11\system
c:\sm11\system\ffm.exe

Every time I run it I get a MS-DOS window that opens and says that
taskill is not an Internal or External command, operable program or
batch file.

Where are you placing the batch file? I put mine in the C:\Windows
directory.
Michael
