Fred,
SC 11.5 is now running fine on XP Pro.
The problem was mine not NLM's.
I had forgotten that you still need to select the NLM for install when
setting up a client. You then see the option to install the Manager or the
client.
NLM is running on my Win2k workstation.
We only have 2 seats of ADV mill and 2 ADV turn.
We don't use SC as much as we used to, but we still have thousands of SC
files that are associated with jobs still running in our shop daily.
Our primary CAM system is now PTC's ProMan, but only because our CAD is
Pro/E.
I still feel SC is better at the basics than any of the others.
NLM allows me to move sc from one pc to another without worrying about
license codes or dongles.
I hope that some kind of NLM will be supported by the new developers of SC.
It looks like, from the response, NLM has been all but forgotten in the
grand scheme of whats important to SC users.
Glad I brought it up:)
Doug McDowell
