Hey all, There is a bulletin on the Microsoft Knowledge Base that describes this thing (ctfmon.exe). It also explains how to properly disable it.

First problem that I can recreate: When I use "keep defaults" the program locks up, (no confirmation box) the mouse moves O.K. and I can switch to other programs that are running but in the SmartCam program it just beeps when I click on anything. I have to use the task manager to close SmartCam and loose any unsaved work. Second, it does the same thing if I switch to another SmartCam program if the first is not saved. I do know that I must save often after working with Win98SE but sometimes I forget. Any Help Thanks William Ray Ray Machine Inc. ====================================================================== To find out more about this mailing list including how to unsubscribe, send the message "info mfg-smartcam" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] ======================================================================
