*15 Jan 2011* * * *BANGALORE*: A mentally-challenged woman created ruckus at Chamarajapet by attacking people with a stick and throwing paint at them on Friday morning.
Mamata Engineer reportedly went to an under-construction building near her residence on Friday morning and asked the building owner Shripathi to stop work as the land was disputed. “When we did not listen to her, she brought a stick and attacked me. The labours who came for my help also got beatings. She took the paint kept there and threw it on us. Some on-lookers, who tried to tackle her, also faced her wrath,” said Sripathi.When police reached the spot, she locked herself inside her house and it took more than an hour to convince her to open the door. When she came out, police took her to the police station and kept her there for some time and then let her go. Mamata lives alone the house is reportedly disputed.
