Dear Sir,

Wethe the members of Rashtriya Viklang Manch [National Confederation of
Disabled] hereby unanimously resolved to submit this memorandum to register
our anger and strong protest and draw your attention towards the brutal,
insensitive, discriminatory acts of railway administration against people
with disabilities.
** **
We the members of RVM [NCD] on behalf of the entire disabled community of
this country urge you to take the serious note of the following inhuman and
brutal act of railway police force at Harda railway station in MP.
** **
Mr. Kriparam son of Mr. ramdas from Gahal ****village** of
**Harda****district, MP. He is a visually impaired person, married and
has a 6 months
old daughter. His wife is also a disabled person and the entire family
depended on the income of Kriparam who was selling books at the Harda
railway station. He was killed by RPF staff of Harda station on 22/09/2011.
He was selling books at the Harda railway station on 22-09-2011, few RPF
staff had unnecessary argument and harassed him. He was arrested by RPF
staff without any reasons at 10.00 PM from his house. He was treated with
inhuman and degrading treatment. He was beaten up in the night badly and
took him to hospital in the mid night where doctor declared him dead. He was
only the earning person and bread winner in the family whose death has
caused serious and unrecoverable loss to the family.

Sir, this is not the first incident of inhuman and brutal act of railway
administration but a routine activity. There were several incidents of this
nature, which have been reported to the concerned authorities but there was
no response. The specific coach designated for persons with disabilities is
not safe for the travel since it is crowed with nondisabled people or
railway staff who have been harassing persons with disabilities when they
are asked to vacate.

Sir, we urge you to take immediate and stringent action against the guilty
and we do not trust in the investigation of RPF against their own
colleagues. Therefore we request you to kindly start CBI investigation in to
this case, and kindly ensure timely, appropriate and adequate
compensation to the family
.

We eagerly looking forward for your lightening response and action in this
regard which will determine our future course of action.
