*21 Sep 2011* *AHMEDABAD*: A 13-year-old girl was abducted and allegedly raped in Naroda by her stepfather's relative. The girl's aunt has filed a complaint against the girl's stepfather for the incident and accused him of plotting her rape.
According to Naroda police, the girl, Komal (name changed), is a resident of Naroda, and is mentally challenged. She had been living with her aunt after her mother died last year. Komal's mother had married Gopi Dantani three years ago. However, due to his lifestyle and unemployment, Komal was living with her maternal aunt. "As per the complaint, Gopi and his father Dashrath, both residents of Isanpur, took Komal with them on September 12 on the pretext of visiting a relative. The girl was then allegedly sent to Dipak Dantani, a relative of Gopi, who raped her repeatedly between September 13 and 16. When Komal came back, her aunt was furious and she later approached the police with the complaint.
