10-Jul-2013 JAIPUR : Two traffic policemen were today suspended, while three others were sent to lines for allegedly thrashing a mentally-challenged person during a traffic jam on the Delhi-Jaipur highway four days back.
Highway mobile unit in-charge Ramesh and constable Krishna Kumar were suspended for allegedly beating the person, who was causing traffic disruption during the jam near Jagwas circle in Behror area, Additional SP (Bhiwari) Anil Kayal said. Three constables -- Mukesh, Rupesh and Prabhudayal -- were sent to lines for their involvement in the matter, he said. "A preliminary enquiry was conducted after a media report, and these five cops were found involved in beating the person," the ASP said, adding that the victim is in sound health.
