Hanging out on IRC is not only fun but educational! Some people were talking about Gobby so they could work together. You can find it here => http://gobby.0x539.de ( Latest version is 0.4.5 which is a simple "sudo apt-get install gobby" for all those Ubuntu fokes )
It's a simple code editor in X-Windows but it combined with IRC in that many people can join and work on a file(s) and there updates are color coded. Also for each file there is a IRC like chat at the bottom. Therefore this looks like a cool tool for many people to work remote on a project ( even if they are on mixed platforms ) Joe
