I've posted my handout for " how to make a SystemRescueCD USB thumb drive version" in the hope that people could read it over, find any issues which will hopefully allow me to hand out the final copy and just take questions for 5-8 minutes.
You can find the PDF version on our home page www.mhvlug.org or http://mhvlug.org/images/5/57/SystemRescueUSB.pdf So please send me constructive feedback if you have any. Also also please come to the meeting for a intense night of Tech talks ( Sean is as always a favorite presenter ) Topic: Ruby on Rails Rails is a full-stack framework for developing database-backed web applications according to the Model-View-Control pattern. >From the Ajax in the view, to the request and response in the controller, to the domain model wrapping the database, Rails gives you a pure-Ruby development environment. To go live, all you need to add is a database and a web server. Sean Dague will be presenting getting started with Ruby on Rails. This will include developing a simple web application from scratch to show some of the basic principles of working with Ruby on Rails. The presentation will also demonstrate how to use Ruby on Rails to work with legacy systems, and show a number of applications and source code built on top of Rails written by Sean.
