Hi all,

I see there was a meeting about small office networking last spring, but was wondering if anyone has any good resources for learning more about building cross platform small office networks. I write small networked enabled desktop applications for small businesses on the Mozilla platform, and once I get them onto cross platform applications like OpenOffice.org and Firefox, I'd like to move them onto Ubuntu desktops. Problem is, they still need Quick Books as well as a smattering of other Windows apps. I figured the easiest thing to do was set up a virtual box on Ubuntu, but I have one customer that needs to run Quick Books off a windows server as well. Anyway, the whole thing seems to be getting complicated, but I'd like to start moving small businesses toward what I believe to be a better platform. Does anyone have any good resources to recommend for this? Are there any of you who have experience working on cross platform networks and desktops who might be willing to point me in the right directions?

Thanks a million.
Kris
