Hello,
I'm having a hard time setting up softphone on Ubuntu Karmic amd64...

Linphone does not keep passwords for SIP accounts (keeps asking) but its the only one I got to work so far. It also does not makes any sound when making a call. I only hear anything after the other end picks up the phone and starts talking. The sound is very clear and there is no delay tho...

I'm using callcentric for a DID phone number and betamax service called voipraider (reeaaall cheap international calls - some are "free") The softphone needs to support two accounts at the same time.

I also have an USB phone which is just an external usb soud card with a number keypad. Works out of the box on linux which is cool.

Other softphones I tried.
Ekiga, Twinkle, empathy with sip plugin IIRC(could not find how to setup account), QuteCom, SFLphone. I tried using stun servers no stun servers... with and without the USB phone. I tried many, many things... I can usually connect with the sip server and connect the call but I never hear any sound. I also tried using the recommended codec from voipraider but no luck.

Receiving calls with Callcentric seems to work on linphone but I haven't tested with others.

I haven't tried Gizmo and kphone yet.

Does anyone know how to make linphone remember passwords? Passwords are on the setting file but it keeps asking anyway.

Thanks in advance :o)
