Again I don't use Myth but doesn't it just do mpeg? It seems to me that
if they took the time to make a wiki on how to set it up then it might
work well for at least a default myth, maybe adding avi might generate
issues I don't know.

I believe I've listed the "specific," codecs that VDPAU can accelerate many
times. They are the most common codecs, and the ones that you'll actually
need acceleration for. They include VC1/WMV9, H.264, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4
part 2. ANY acceleration is just going to target "specific," codecs. I
believe you were trying to imply limited - and I'd like to know what else
you think would need acceleration. What do you mean by "not very well"?
Which settings are you referring to?
