Hi again, everybody! Would anyone be able to recommend some software for what I think is a special purpose? What I'd like to create is a slideshow with sound, like those old sound filmstrips in school. Basically it's someone reading a picture book out loud, with the pictures displayed. There are a few features that are must-haves:

Must be able to display a particular sound with each image
Each image will be displayed for a different amount of time (duration of the sound plus a constant number of seconds would be OK) It must put the whole thing into one standalone file that can be shown/heard on a typical Linux/Windows/Mac system without special software (IOW something like Flash or MPG that most systems already have installed)

A few nice, but not essential, features would be:
Various types of transitions, or at least fades, between images
    Not too hard to use

Can anyone recommend something? Could OpenOffice.org's export to .swf accomplish this without my losing my sanity? Or is there something better out there? Thanks VERY much for all suggestions!

Adam
