Hi Folks, I know I have not been able to play with the group much, and not at all since my daughter changed schools (and we started driving 4hrs a day a few years back). My life outside of work has just been too hectic. It is a good part of why we are heading west to a closer school and a job in Mountain View at Google. But enough about me.
The Sys Admin position I held at Vassar is available. It is not a job with Vassar CIS, but rather an appointment to The Computer Science Department and the CCAS (Center for Collaborative Approaches to Science). The Computer Science Department Faculty, staff and students are a great bunch to work for and with. The faculty and students using the 156 core cluster are also a good bunch and eager to learn and port their work to the cluster. Heck, I was there for 19 years and it took an offer from Google and a better school for my daughter (Orion Academy) to get me to budge.
