So apparently google screwed up something in their latest update; symptom is "cannot load plugin" on youtube, etc.
The fix is to quit chrome, rm -r ~/.config/google-chrome/PepperFlash then start chrome again. Hopefully save some other people a few minutes of googling. -m --
