I some how got on a sucker list and people who sound like they are in
India keep asking me to hit "control, Alt, delete" They get very
confused when I do and nothing happens. One connected me to a
"supervisor" to get to the bottom of why control, alt, delete wasn't
revealing that hidden programs weren't running on my computer. The most
recent one was a little smarter. He just hung up.
They had just warned me that terrible things were happening on my
computer that their computer was aware of. Clear over in India!!!
I really feel sorry for the poor, unsophisticated Windows user who will
probably wind up paying $49.95 or worse for some useless product. If
you have a Windows computer and it is fully updated, you can get
"Microsoft Security Essentials" for free which looks for viruses. AOL
also keeps warning me that I need to buy one of their co- branded rip offs.
Or you could get Linux and laugh at the whole thing. Take your
significant other out with the $49.95!!!
