There is quite a bit of information on power and display adapters listed at
http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals#Power_adapters

As I read it, HDMI and common DVI cables will work fine as DVI lacks audio
but is the same video as HDMI.

odd DVI connectors and the warnings about VGA adapters.
