Drive maintenance/repair - it is not OS-specific, handles pretty much any
format you have and is just plain good (though a little "Expensive" and
certainly not Open)

Kind of depends on what you want - a casual tool for maintenance or a
serious "Oh hell, my hard disk is about to die / is dead" scenario.
