FYI: you can get all of the Python docs from: http://docs.python.org/2.7/download.html ( note you can change the version on the site or in the url )
In PDF format thus read them on your e-reader etc. Included in the docs will be howto's the FAQ and the "Python Tutorial" which is the book MIT uses for there class on Python.
