One of my new years resolutions was to add more cryptography to the internet, especially as man in the middle attacks are no longer just cool conference talks, but something that's happening a lot. Be they nation states or ISP ad injection.

Along those lines, mhvlug.org is now SSL always. If you navigate to the site you'll get directed to the https version. http exists only for permanent redirects.

I did this with startssl.com which lets you get free SSL certs for single hosts. Tested and working on chrome and firefox on linux. One can argue about the veracity of low verification SSL certs... that's probably for a dinner conversation. :)
