You can route via your ISP using Postfix, it's just that you have to
go
outbound via your ISP. I had to switch a few years ago. It's not
difficult. In fact, I was first doing it via sendmail, and postfix
is
much easier.
I have been routing via my ISPs MTA. The issue isn't successful
delivery but that the dynamic IP address from my ISP is blacklisted for
MTAs. By not using a local relay, I can avoid violating spam detection
rules for blacklisted IP addresses.
