Just as a side note; my father worked for an an instrumentation company that made parts for the Apollo project. I remember one time he had some fire-damaged gauges at the house, and I had even held them, not knowing where they were from. Wasn't until 20-25 years later my mother told me they were from Apollo 1, and she had wanted them *out* of the house since they were creeping her out
